Go face forward this summer with long wearing makeup products Part 1

PART 1

Beach days and afternoon rides are favorite summer past times for many of us. Let’s not forget the intense heat and humid weather associated with this time of year. However, there is no need to be a prisoner to wearing makeup that cannot hold up to these harsh weather and that streak, run or bleed. With this in mind, I want to share some great makeup products that will keep your face beautiful all day or night long.

Let’s kick-start this series with foundation. The key here is to purchase sweat/water/streak proof long-lasting formulas that contain SPF protection. Examples of these include:

1. Estee Lauder Stay in Place foundation– I have tried this and it does last ALL day and there is minimal transfer to clothing. I usually use this when wearing white-collar tops, so as not to get that “messy makeup collar” look. ( Can be bought from the Cosmetic boutique on Bay St. in Nassau or from major department store makeup counters like Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s)

2. Clarins Everlasting foundation– MY FIRST LOVE. I adore Clarins foundations and have used them since forever.  This product is the company’s long wearing foundation formula. If you are looking for a lightweight, smooth and airy foundation, then this is ideal for you. ( Visit the counter at the main John Bull store on Bay St in Nassau (ask for Glenda and she will be happy to assist you in selecting the right shade… such a sweetie pie!) or at major department stores worldwide.

3. Avon- Extra lasting Foundation– This promises up to 18hr wear. (See your local Avon representative ) Never tried this one but feel free to do so and let me know how it works out.

4. Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Longwearing foundation– I have never used this but this line is a classic. You can trust Bobbi to make a great effective product and I am sure this is no exception. (Can be bought from the Cosmetic boutique on Bay St. in Nassau or from major department store makeup counters, like Macy’s and Bloomingdales)

That’s it for now and stay tuned for PART 2 which will deal with products for the eyes.

Stay beautiful until next time. 🙂
